The UK arm of US furnishings and homeware group Williams-Sonoma, owner of the West Elm brand, has reported a growth in sales.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 2 February 2020, total sales rose 20.3% to £31.3m from £26m in 2019.
Gross profit increased from £9.1m to £9.9m, while pre-tax profit almost doubled to £1.2m, rising from £710,000.
Stated within its report, the company said that turnover improved due to an increase in online revenue for the West Elm and Pottery Barn Kids brands, an increase in wholesale revenue, and a full year of revenue for the store opened in 2019.
Cost of sales as a percentage of turnover increased due to higher cost of sales compared to growth in revenue.
