Sales down at fitted furniture maker

Bespoke fitted furniture manufacturer Neville Johnson has reported a decline in sales as profit fell to a loss.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2020, total sales dipped 14.5% to £28.1m from £32.9m in 2019.

Gross profit reduced from £18.1m to £14.7m, while its pre-tax profit of £1.6m recorded the previous year fell to a loss of £517,000.

Stated within its report, the company said that it grew its outstanding order book to over £10m, which has continued to grow in the current year.
