Profit more than doubles at furniture retailer

Furniture retailer Furniture Choice, which has now rebranded to Furniture and Choice, has reported a growth in sales as profit more than doubled.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 March 2020, total sales rose 26.4% to £20m from £15.9m in 2019.

Gross profit increased from £2.8m to £3.8m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £1.3m, significantly rising compared to its profit of £535,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said it was a “very positive performance” as the business grew “rapidly and attracted a large volume of new customers” despite market uncertainty.
