Online retailer of luxury gifts, designer homeware, lighting and contemporary furniture, Amara Living, has reported a growth in top line performance.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2019, total sales rose 3.3% to £21.9m from £21.2m in 2018.
UK sales rose slightly by 1% to £9.2m from £9.1m, while sales outside the UK inched up 4.9% to £12.6m from £12m.
Gross profit fell from £3.7m to £2.4m, while pre-tax losses widened to £4.3m compared to its loss of £1.6m the previous year.
Stated within its report, the retailer said that it experienced modest growth across all of its markets with the exception of Europe, which proved to be highly successful, delivering growth of 14.6%.
Furthermore, its own-label brand, A by Amara, saw growth of 42% and represents almost 7% of total turnover, making it the company’s number one selling brand.
