Made-to-measure online blinds and curtain retailer Blinds 2go has formed a new collaboration with the V&A museum.
The collaboration is a contemporary take on designer William Morris’ much-loved work, inspired from acclaimed patterns such as `Strawberry Thief’ and `Willow Bough’.
The design team at Blinds 2go has taken eight of Morris’ most recognisable patterns and created a unique offering of Roman blinds, roller blinds and curtains in over 40 exclusive new colourways.
Speaking about the collaboration, Blinds 2go’s Marketing Director Alison Gore said: “William Morris’ belief in equality of access to the arts was what made him such a great friend to the V&A. With this collaboration, we have highlighted some of Morris’s best work by developing a collection of designs that are beautiful, useable and accessible to all.”
“This collection aims to maintain the essence and beauty of those original patterns, combining them with modern palettes that make them easier to use in a contemporary setting.” Leah Brandwood, Head of Design at Blinds 2go, added.
Amelia Calver, the V&A’s Research and development Manager, said: “This collection gives the V&A a unique opportunity to highlight its most loved designs to a new audience, as well as those who are familiar with the patterns, and see them continuing their journey into homes and interiors.”
