New independent opens in Barry

Independent furniture business Boomerang Furniture Store (BFS) has opened its doors in Barry.

The new store, which is situated on Broad Street, has been launched by Paul Gwilym, founder of homelessness charity Boomerang Cardiff, and has been set up as a small business and not a charity.

The shop features new furniture products from beds, sofas, dining furniture and homeware items, with profits contributing to the Boomerang Charity’s cause.

BFS also plays host to a number of local start-up businesses, including Make it Homely, which specialises in upcycled and bespoke furnishings, having launched online back in September.
