Organisers of the Manchester Furniture Show (MFS) have confirmed its postponement of this year’s event due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will return next year.
Event Director for Manchester Furniture Show, Cleere Scamell, comments: “It is with the greatest disappointment that we are postponing Manchester Furniture Show until 18-20 July next year. This has not been an easy decision to reach, as we understand how important a strong summer sales event is to the furniture industry.”
Next year, the show will combine all the ‘exciting plans for this year’, as well as the 2021 edition’s new enhanced sectors and more key brands and buyers.
Commenting further on the postponement, Cleere said: “We would like to thank our loyal and valued clients for their support and understanding during these unprecedented times. Over the coming weeks I will outline our plans for supporting the industry with resources and virtual product launches through the summer.
“We are also refocussing effort and resources towards the key January Furniture Show, to ensure that the landmark annual event delivers its strongest edition during the anticipated recovery period. In the meantime, we wish the furniture community the very best during this difficult time.”
