Manufacturer of machine-driven precision tools for the processing of solid wood, Leitz, is celebrating four staff members reaching ‘phenomenal’ milestones in its UK division.
Four more members of Leitz Tooling staff are celebrating 25 years of service. Over the last 5 years, 14 members of Leitz UK staff have marked long service achievements with the company, from 25 to over 40 years.
Leitz’s recent recipients of their 25 year award are Mike Tinkler, sales & service centre manager for Leitz Durham; tooling & service specialists Lance Rogers based at Leitz Leeds – the company’s key service centre for the Midlands and North of England and Dave Hobbs, representing Leitz in Kent and South Essex. Leitz Harlow-based tooling engineer Matthew Turner also marks 25 years with the company this year.
Leitz Tooling UK managing director Simon Liddell said: “We have an amazing team representing Leitz Tooling across the UK, and it has been my pleasure to recognise Mike, Lance, Dave and Matt’s phenomenal commitment to the company. Each is an expert in their own right and our customers benefit daily from their experience and knowledge, as do we all at Leitz.”
Leitz also announces the retirement of its UK head office financial controller, Mike Trippick. Simon Liddell said: “Mike has been an invaluable asset to our team and has made a huge contribution to the business and the people that make up our business. Respected across our global company, our group CFO Robert Lukassen made a special trip to the UK in February to thank Mike for his tireless efforts. We will all miss Mike greatly, and wish him a musical, green-fingered retirement, with many long walks spoiled by golf!”
Simon continued, “The pride we have in our staff mirrors the pride they take in our business. Our mutual commitment is part of what enables us to continue to deliver tooling and service that is second to none, and great customer service.”
