Kitchen business bounces back strongly from minor Covid setback

Kitchen business Premiere Kitchens has reported a growth in turnover while significantly reducing losses.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 March 2020, total sales rose 4% to £11.9m from £11.4m in 2019.

Operating profit jumped back into the black at £33,000 from a loss of £268,000, while pre-tax losses resulted at £1,795 – a significant improvement on its loss of £275,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said that sales increased due to higher sales of products being sold into the new build sector.

The business added that Covid-19 had impacted sales marginally, but has recovered strongly with order levels going into 2021 already higher than the previous comparable period.
