Fashion, homeware and furniture business Oliver Bonas has reported a surge in sales as turnover surpassed £80m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2019, total sales rose 18% to £81.6m from £69m in 2018 – a growth of £12.6m.
Gross profit rose from £40.2m to £45.8m, while pre-tax profit increased 20% to £3.6m from £3m the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said like-for-like sales were up 7.8% in what was a buoyant year, particularly in the second half.
During the period, the business opened six new stores including its first international outlet in Dublin, Ireland, which has performed “very well”. All new stores have traded well and been profitable.
Three stores were closed due to leases ending and four stores were relocated.
Online sales jumped 34.1% as it benefited from a new platform and improved SEO and marketing.
