Manufacturer of made to measure furniture products such as loose covers and reupholstery fabrics, Plumbs, has reported a slight dip in sales.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2019, total sales were down 1.3% to £24.3m from £24.7m in 2018.
Gross profit improved from £4.9m to £5m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £191,000, down 60% compared to its profit of £491,000 recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, Plumbs said net sales orders were down by just £100,000, while conversion of leads to orders increased 8.8% to 61.1%.
The business added that during the period it introduced an interest free credit offer as a trial, which has proved successful and therefore launched fully. It is expected to boost sales growth further.
