‘Overview of furniture and bed flammability regulations for the contract and domestic sectors’ will be the next webinar delivered by UKAS-accredited testing house, FIRA International.
Taking place on Thursday 11 February, and scheduled for 90 minutes, the webinar intends to give delegates an understanding of the background and requirements of the flammability regulations for the domestic and contract furniture markets
The session will be hosted by Howard James, Testing and Technical Consultancy Manager and Steve Cotton, Technical Specialist, with an agenda comprising:
- Background to Legislation
- Overview of testing requirements for domestic and contract furniture
- Identification of actions and obligations
- Demonstrating compliance
The session will then close with a Q&A session with the FIRA International experts, giving delegates the opportunity to take what they have learned and ask questions pertinent to their organisation.
Speaking on the session, James said, “Without doubt, most queries we receive from customers are centred around the complex flammability regulations. In addition, we’ve certainly seen an increase in queries relating to contract furniture being used in the domestic setting – reflecting the huge shift we’ve all seen due to Covid-19. This adds further complications.
“Through our webinar we’re hoping to take steps to demystifying the regulations for the furniture and bed sectors, across domestic and contract. The Q&A session will also give our delegates the chance to ask questions to support them, or even just seek clarity and reassurance that they are working towards compliance.” Registration for the ‘Overview of furniture and bed flammability regulations for the contract and domestic sectors’ webinar is free and open to all from across the furniture and bed sectors via https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5655435226962336524
